IMPLEMENT THE TECHNOLOGY TOOL (WEEK-6)

The class consists of 30 students. They speak Bangali as L1 and learn English as L2. I teach them Grammar Skill. They take part in the classes regularly overcoming the traffic jams in Dhaka City. They are quite laborious and curious to learn English. They are fascinated with new technology application in learning because it is new to them.

I have to say that in my large class I would use to make more interactive ‘’Nicenet’’ and ‘’JiTT’’ might have worked very well. My class is also called ‘’Language (Grammar) Lab’’ which is wired with internet. Students can browse and learn English in different ways. I find my students enthusiastic to use lab for their new ways of learning. I give them some online web link for language learning, like http://www.englishgrammar.org/. Students will be able to cutting age technology for learning and will be able to learn more use technology online/off-line learning.

Many students did not know about computer and internet use. They were very curious and worried at first. After a few days, they were able to use computer and develop internet in using technology for learning .They develop their autonomy of learning style. I hope any one can apply and many of my colleagues were inspired and they applied in their class teaching.

  1. Hello Mohammad,

I have enjoyed reading your post a lot. Your students are learning English as the second language so I think their English must be good. My students learn English as the foreign language and they used to think there is no need to learn English before as they could not find a foreigner to try their English at the area where we live. Unfortunately, nowadays, 10 countries in ASEAN will use English for communication and they realize how necessary it is to learn before entering the ASEAN in 2015.

By the way, some of my students are not good at using the computers either but we can teach them in our one-computer classroom too.
